Delamotte Blanc de Blancs NV, Champagne, 75cl
Founded in 1760, Champagne Delamotte is one of the oldest houses in Champagne, based in the prestigious village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger in the heart of the Côte des Blancs. The sister house of the legendary Champagne Salon, Delamotte shares its dedication to exceptional Chardonnay and the distinctive chalky terroir of the region, producing Champagnes renowned for their purity, finesse and elegance.
The Delamotte Blanc de Blancs NV is made exclusively from Grand Cru Chardonnay, fermented in stainless steel to preserve freshness and precision. Aged for four to five years on its lees before disgorgement, considerably longer than the minimum requirement, it develops a fine, creamy mousse and subtle complexity while retaining its characteristic freshness. Delicate white fruit and citrus notes are complemented by a distinctly chalky minerality, leading to an elegant, finely textured palate and a long, refreshing finish. An excellent example of the understated elegance of the Côte des Blancs, this is a particularly refined Champagne, equally enjoyable as an aperitif or alongside oysters, shellfish and grilled fish.
"The latest release of Delamotte's NV Brut Blanc de Blancs, the house's emblematic bottling, is once again showing very well, bursting with aromas of citrus zest, freshly baked bread, nougat, crisp stone fruit and white flowers. Medium to full-bodied, ample and pillowy, with a fleshy core of fruit, bright acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it's a seamless, elegant wine that concludes with a flavorful finish."
