2008 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Corbeaux, Bruno Clavelier

"A surprisingly high-toned nose of cranberry, currant and raspberry that is trimmed in a discreet note of wood that is not picked up by the round, rich and mouth coating medium-bodied flavors that possess a lovely mouth feel and finish with a dusty, long and moderately powerful finale. Corbeaux is often rather animale but this version, at least at present, is defined more by its fruit than what I typically associate with the vineyard. Drink 2015+"  Allen Meadows, Burghound
