2007 Chateau Bastor Lamontagne, Sauternes (50cl)
"Tasted single blind against its peers. There is a lot of sulphur on the nose, which makes it difficult to assess, although with more decanting it offers light honey and pineapple aromas. The palate is well-balanced and tensile. There is vibrant acidity and attractive notes of lemon curd, white peach and apricot towards the finish. Somehow, quite “economical” in terms of length, but it constitutes a fine effort from this estate. Tasted January 2011." Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate
