Remi Jobard is widely regarded as one of Meursault's finest growers, producing wines that sit just below the region's most famous and highly priced domaines while often rivaling them for quality.  Since taking over from his father in 1996, he has refined every aspect of viticulture and winemaking in pursuit of aromatic purity and precision.  Long, gentle press cycles, extended élevage and the use of large Stockinger oak foudres rather than heavily oaked barrels result in Chardonnays of remarkable tension, clarity and finesse.

Among his village wines, Les Chevalières is perhaps the standout. Situated high on the slope above Meursault on thin limestone soils, it combines the richness associated with the appellation with an uncommon mineral drive and energy. Home to some of the domaine's oldest vines, planted in 1940, Chevalières consistently delivers one of Meursault's most complete village level expressions: focused, vibrant and ageworthy.
