The winery was founded in 1879 by the Biffar family, who came from the Lyon area and had already moved to Deidesheim in 1723. The passion for wine production of the winemaker Fumiko Tokuoka convinced the childless Biffar family in 2013 to entrust the traditional winery to their team and thus hand it over to good hands.
