1995 Romanee St Vivant Grand Cru, Domaine Jean-Jacques Confuron

"Classic RSV nose of oriental spice and subtle tea, leather and hoisin notes mix beautifully with black, sappy pinot fruit aromas but the flavors are somewhat reserved at this early juncture and the '95 vintage shows up on the finish as this is moderately astringent at the moment. I would give this a few years to round out as there is plenty of concentration here. Drink 2009+"  Allen Meadows, Burghound, Jan 2008
