2024 Beaujolais Blanc Roche Noire, Domaine Lathuiliere Gravallon
Domaine Lathuiliere Gravallon is a small, family-run estate in Villié-Morgon, now in its fifth generation, where Cathy Gravallon and Cédric Lathuilière combine respect for tradition with a forward-thinking approach to viticulture. The domaine farms around 10 hectares across some of Beaujolais' finest appellations, with all vineyard work carried out by hand and a strong commitment to sustainable practices. The Roche Noire cuvée comes from Chardonnay planted on granite soils with limestone influence, a combination that brings both freshness and mineral precision to the wine.
The 2024 Beaujolais Blanc Roche Noire is a wonderfully expressive Chardonnay, offering aromas of white flowers, citrus blossom and ripe orchard fruits. The palate is bright and elegant, with notes of white peach, crisp apple and juicy citrus underpinned by a subtle creamy texture and refreshing mineral lift. Fresh, balanced and effortlessly drinkable, this is a beautifully crafted white that showcases the often-overlooked quality of Beaujolais Blanc.
