1985 Puligny Montrachet 1er Cru Les Combettes, Etienne Sauzet

Domaine Etienne Sauzet, based in Puligny-Montrachet, is one of Burgundy’s benchmark producers, known for elegant, mineral-driven Chardonnays of great precision and longevity.  Les Combettes is among Sauzet’s most celebrated Premier Cru vineyards, producing wines of Grand Cru depth - refined, floral, and mineral, with ripe orchard fruit and remarkable ageing potential from its old limestone-rich vines.  This is an extremely rare example from the fine1985 vintage.
