Moueix Pomerol - Stained Labels
On the rare occasions when a bottle gets broken in storage or during transit it will often stain the bottles around it in the case. Whilst the remaining bottles may be cosmetically flawed the all important liquid inside remains just as delicious. Available at reduced prices these are often a smart way to pick up a bargain!
One such example is the beautifully expressive 2018 Pomerol from Jean-Pierre Moueix where we have a few stained bottles to offer. The nose is immediately inviting - ripe plum, blackberry and raspberry layered with violets, cedar, gentle spice and a touch of cocoa and smoke. The palate is supple, refined and effortlessly balanced, with silky, polished tannins carrying generous dark juicy fruit through to a long, elegant finish. There’s both richness and finesse, making this crowd-pleasing Pomerol irresistible.
The labels may be a little stained. But the wine? Absolutely pristine. We also have the excellent 2019 vintage available - a slightly fresher, more elegant version of this classic.
