Cellers de Scala Dei is one of the historic names of Priorat, with winemaking roots stretching back to the Carthusian monks who established themselves here in the 12th century. Today the estate continues to champion the dramatic vineyards beneath the Montsant mountains, producing wines that capture the distinctive mineral character of this remarkable landscape.
El Tribut is a youthful, vibrant expression of Priorat, blending 60% Garnacha, 25% Syrah and 15% Cabernet Sauvignon from vines grown on the region’s famous llicorella slate soils. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured in stainless steel rather than oak, it is all about freshness and fruit - ripe red berries, floral notes and gentle spice, with supple tannins, bright acidity and a distinctive mineral edge. Brilliant with grilled lamb or pork, roast chicken, charcuterie and tapas.
