2022 Ceres de Haut Bages Liberal, Haut Medoc

Ceres by Haut Bages Liberal is a distinctive, no added sulphur cuvée made from 100% Merlot grown in a 8 hectare vineyard interplanted with trees. Vinified entirely in cement, the 2022 vintage bursts with juicy, exuberant character, offering layers of dark cherry, plum, licorice, menthol, and sage.  Aromatically floral with subtle peppery spice, it’s vibrant and expressive, embodying the bold, fruit-forward style of the year.

"Highly perfumed and aromatic black fruit on the nose, smells vivid and expressive. Blackcurrants, cherries and plums mix on the palate with gorgeous juicy, almost sweet acidity to give this a feeling of fun and easy enjoyment. I like the salty stone accent on the finish, a touch of minerality and minty bite which adds texture and depth. Tons of energy and purity here. A nice pick for an organic and biodynamic wine with no added sulfites. Drink 2025-2030."  Decanter.com
