Domaine de la Vougeraie is one of Burgundy's leading biodynamic estates, farming some of the Côte d'Or's most prized vineyards with a philosophy centred on living soils and authentic terroir expression. Situated immediately above the village of Vougeot, Les Cras is a superb Premier Cru vineyard bordering the famed Clos de Vougeot Grand Cru. Its stony, limestone rich soils, reflected in the name "Cras", meaning rocky ground, produce wines of remarkable precision, structure and mineral complexity. The estate has been certified organic since 1999 and biodynamic since 2001, with meticulous vineyard work aimed at preserving the individuality of each site.
