Chateau Beychevelle is one of the most historic and recognisable estates of Saint Julien, classified as a Fourth Growth in 1855.  With its magnificent château overlooking the Gironde and famous ship emblem, Beychevelle has long been known as the “Versailles of the Medoc.” Its extensive vineyards occupy prime gravel soils close to the Gironde, predominantly planted to Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

The wines are renowned for their elegance, perfume and silky texture, combining the cassis, cedar and structure of Cabernet Sauvignon with the generosity and suppleness of Merlot. Typically more refined than powerful, Beychevelle is a particularly graceful expression of Saint Julien and develops beautiful savoury, tobacco and cedar complexity with age.
