Cedric Bouchard Roses de Jeanne La Boloree Blanc de Blancs 2010 Champagne 75cl
Cédric Bouchard has become one of Champagne's most revered artisan producers, crafting some of the region's most distinctive single-vineyard wines under his Roses de Jeanne label. Rejecting blending in favour of expressing one vineyard, one grape variety and one vintage, his Champagnes have become cult favourites among collectors. La Bolorée is his rarest Blanc de Blancs, produced from a tiny 0.21-hectare parcel of Chardonnay planted on distinctive Portlandian limestone over Kimmeridgian marl in the Côte des Bar. Produced in minute quantities and bottled with minimal intervention, it is one of Champagne's purest and most terroir-driven expressions of Chardonnay.
"The 2010 Blanc de Blancs La Bolorée is fresh, powerful and vibrant, almost surprisingly so. Citrus, orchard fruit and white flowers are some of the many notes that race out of the glass. The 2010 is brilliant, powerful and explosive from the very first taste. It has plenty of life ahead but is so expressive today. I really love the energy and vibrancy here. Drink 2020-2028." 96+/100 Antonio Galloni, Vinous.com
