Burgundy

Burgundy is the spiritual home of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, producing some of the world's finest and most sought-after wines. Its unique landscape is divided into a remarkable patchwork of vineyards, where differences in soil, aspect and microclimate give each village and individual climat its own distinctive character.

At the heart of the region lie the Côte de Nuits and Côte de Beaune, from the powerful, complex Pinot Noir of Gevrey-Chambertin and the great Grand Crus of Chambertin, to the elegance and perfume of Chambolle-Musigny and Vosne-Romanée, home to outstanding domaines such as Sylvain Cathiard and Bruno Clavelier. Further south, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet and Chassagne-Montrachet produce some of the world's greatest Chardonnay, with celebrated domaines including Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Etienne Sauzet. To the north, Chablis offers wonderfully precise, mineral Chardonnay, while the Côte Chalonnaise and Mâconnais provide some of Burgundy's most exciting and accessible wines.
