2001 Bienvenues Batard Montrachet Grand Cru, Domaine Leflaive

"An expressive and still nicely fresh nose includes white flower, pronounced honey and softly exotic fruit aromas nuanced by spice and wood hints. There is fine richness to the relatively powerful and vibrant middle weight flavors that possess more than sufficient acidity to buffer the weight and richness on the balanced and lingering finale. For my taste this is in its prime drinking window though it appears to be holding nicely. Tasted several times since release with largely consistent notes.
