Wine Highlight: 2017 Chateau Labegorce
Château Labégorce is one of Margaux’s most beautifully situated estates, lying on the plateau just across the road from Château Lascombes and close to the great Château Margaux itself. With a history dating back to the 14th century, the estate has undergone significant modernisation under the Perrodo family and, in recent vintages, has firmly re-established itself as one of the appellation’s most reliable performers.

We are delighted to offer the wonderfully complete 2017 vintage. This offers exceptional value for a Margaux of Classed Growth quality that is drinking beautifully now. Classically styled Margaux, offering elegance, perfume and structure. A blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, aged for 14 months in oak (45% new), it shows creamy bright red fruit layered with blackcurrant, cedar, dark chocolate and classic Margaux pencil-shaving notes. The palate is medium to full-bodied, combining muscular fruit and freshness with firm but ripe tannins, giving both immediate appeal and the structure to drink confidently over the next decade.
