The 2024 Riesling from Peth-Wetz is partially fermented with indigenous vineyard yeasts, lending a vibrant bouquet of tropical fruits alongside green apple, white peach and citrus, all underscored by fine minerality and delicate floral notes. The palate is crisp and lively, with bright acidity, a touch of stone fruit richness and a clean, refreshing finish.  This vibrant Riesling pairs beautifully with fresh seafood, sushi, lightly spiced Asian dishes, or goat’s cheese, where its bright acidity and fruit lift complement delicate flavours.

Founded in 2001, Christian Peth and his wife Maja Luise lead the team at Weingut Peth-Wetz, located between Worms and Alzey in Germany’s Rheinhessen. As both owner and cellarmaster, Christian cultivates 30ha of vineyards around the towns of Bermersheim, Dalsheim and Westhofen, where his vines grow in loess and limestone soils.

Wines range from an unfiltered Riesling and Pinot Noir, to Estate Grauer Burgunder. With care for the environment, they are in the transition of become organically certified.
