"The Andriano winery and vineyards were purchased by Cantina Terlano in 2009, a move that further fortified their already-diverse portfolio of wines. While the terroir which surrounds the Terlano estate is more of a volcanic-originating red porphyry (sandy and lacking is calcium carbonate), the soils surrounding Andriano and within their vineyards are more in line with other producers in the region (rocky and calcareous). In tasting, the wines of Andriano are softer and more pliant versus Terlano’s vertical feel. This also allows them to experiment with the use of Tonneaux in the production of white wines, which further complements the style."  Eric Guido, Vinous.com
