"Domaine Frantz Chagnoleau is based in the village of Pierreclos. Frantz and Caroline’s maiden vintage was in 2010, Frantz having worked with Olivier Merlin after graduating from Bordeaux University in 2004. I actually met Caroline at Heritiers du Comte Lafon where she presently manages Dominique Lafon’s Maconnais vineyards and winery. Given their close ties with such respected winemakers, you expect their own wines to deliver?and they do, especially their Pouilly-Fuisse 2011s – some of the best I encountered (both assessed blind).
