2018 Chassagne Montrachet 1er Cru Les Macherelles, Michel Coutoux

Michel Coutoux is the son-in-law of the renowned Michel Niellon and has long crafted the wines at his Domaine.  In 1997 he launched his own négociant business under his own name, sourcing grapes from top sites in Meursault, Chassagne Montrachet and Puligny.  Coutoux’s philosophy emphasizes low-intervention winemaking, allowing the natural expression of the soil, climate, and vintage to shine through. His wines are known for their finesse, balance, and remarkable aging potential.
