2010 Nuit St Georges, Jean Chauvenet
"This is really quite pretty and notably more elegant than its '11 equivalent with better aromatic depth to the broad-ranging nose of ripe red currant, plum, violets and warm earth that is trimmed in a discreet touch of wood. There is lovely verve to the unusually refined flavors as the mouth feel is really quite sophisticated for a Nuits villages, all wrapped in a firm but not hard or unduly rustic finish. This is approachable enough to be enjoyed young yet firm enough to suggest that this would benefit from 5 to 7 years of cellar time. Drink 2016+." Allen Meadows, Burghound
