2010 Les Jardins de Babylone, Didier Dagueneau
This comes from a diminutive 7.4-hectare vineyard at the foot of the Pyrénées in Jurançon. The vineyard forms a natural amphitheatre that reminded Didier Dagueneau of the mythical hanging gardens of Babylon, hence the name.
Les Jardins de Babylone is an extraordinary sweet wine made from 100% Petit Manseng. With intense tropical fruit, honey, citrus, and mineral notes, it balances richness with vibrant acidity. Aged in oak, it’s complex, elegant, and a benchmark for world-class late-harvest wines.
