2010 Clos du Clocher, Pomerol

A fantastic 2010 Pomerol from this under the radar estate. A mature deep ruby colour with cassis, dark ripe fruit, sweet spice, tobacco, and a long rich finish.  

Clos du Clocher is wonderfully located in the middle of the Pomerol plateau just a few hundred metres from Vieux Château Certan and Château Petrus.  This small 6 hectare estate is planted predominantly with old-vine Merlot and is one of the best values to be found in the small but highly desirable appellation of Pomerol.  The wines are classic in style with an emphasis on elegance, fruit and softness.
