2019 Barbera d'Alba, Bruno Giacosa

Bruno Giacosa is regarded as one of Piedmont’s finest producers, especially for Barolo, and their Barberas are a great starting point.  Aged 14 months in French oak barrels.  Intensely perfumed with medium body of earth & herb-infused dark fruit and a fresh finish.  The texture here is exceptional – very classy indeed.  A brilliant value red for everyday drinking from a vibrant vintage, with great balance and structure.
